> ## Agent Instructions
> Linkrunner has a remote MCP server at https://mcp.linkrunner.io/mcp. People sign in to Linkrunner in a browser popup (OAuth), so there is no token to copy. New users sign up in the same popup.
> If a person asks you to sign them up, log them in, or set Linkrunner up and you have no Linkrunner tools, do not send them to the website: tell them to add the connector and walk them through it. In Claude: Customize (or Settings), Connectors, Add custom connector, name Linkrunner, URL https://mcp.linkrunner.io/mcp, leave the OAuth fields empty, click Connect, sign in or sign up in the popup, click Allow, then turn the connector on for the chat and ask again.
> Before sign-in, only get_linkrunner_overview and search_documentation work. Any other tool asks the person to sign in first.
> To set a person up: connect the server, then call get_my_account, list_projects, find_app_in_store (confirm the right app with the person), and create_project. create_project returns the project ID and the SDK token. Install the SDK with that token. get_sdk_configuration returns the token again later.
> Rules: a company email is needed to create a project (Gmail accounts cannot), an app project needs a live App Store or Play Store listing, a person can create up to 3 projects per day from an AI assistant, and using an existing project needs the Admin, Owner or Manager role.
> Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http linkrunner https://mcp.linkrunner.io/mcp, then run /mcp to sign in.
> Guides: connector setup and tool reference at https://docs.linkrunner.io/features/mcp, manual setup at https://docs.linkrunner.io/quickstart. To integrate the SDK in a codebase, use the @linkrunner/skills package: https://docs.linkrunner.io/ai-agent-skills

# Edit an Agency Campaign

> Change the name, deep link and link settings of a campaign in a customer's project

You can change a campaign's name, deep link, link preview, redirects and link options from your agency workspace. The changes apply to the campaign straight away.

## Before you start

You need:

* **Campaigns → Edit** turned on for your agency. It is the same switch that lets you create links. See [Ask the customer to turn on link creation](https://docs.linkrunner.io/agency-partners/create-campaign-link.md#1-ask-the-customer-to-turn-on-link-creation).
* A campaign you can see in **All Campaigns**. By default that is only the campaigns your agency created. If the customer limited you to certain networks, it is only campaigns on those networks.

## 1. Open the campaign

**1. Open the customer's project**

Sign in to [Linkrunner Dashboard](https://dashboard.linkrunner.io) and pick the customer's project from the project picker.

**2. Open the campaign**

Open **All Campaigns** and click the campaign row.

**3. Click Edit**

**Edit** is at the top right of the campaign panel.

## 2. Change the details

![The Edit campaign form for an agency, with the name, deep link and three collapsed sections](https://mintcdn.com/linkrunner-01ef8e08/ZaW2YH5UyXoGw5B4/images/agency-partners/edit-campaign-form.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=ZaW2YH5UyXoGw5B4\&q=85\&s=99226f51fe50c95371664708ed92ed5a)

| Field | What it changes |
| - | - |
| **Campaign Name** | The name you and the customer see. The link stays the same. |
| **Deeplink Destination** | The app screen people land on, even after they install. To remove it, replace the path with `/`. |
| **Link Preview** | The title, description and image shown when the link is shared in chat apps. |
| **Custom Redirection** | A web page for desktop, Android or iOS users, instead of the normal route. |
| **Advanced Options** | **Shorten link**, **Open in app**, custom store listings, and a custom channel for links with no ad channel. |

The form uses the same fields as Create Link. See [Create a trackable link](https://docs.linkrunner.io/features/create-trackable-link.md) for what each one does.

> [!WARNING]
>
> The deep link path is part of the campaign link. After you change **Deeplink Destination**, copy the updated link from the campaign panel before you share it again.

## 3. Save

Click **Update**. You see **Campaign updated successfully**.

## What you can't change

| Setting | Why |
| - | - |
| **Domain** | Fixed after creation. Changing it would break every link already shared on it. **Advanced Options** shows it greyed out. |
| **Ad Channel** | Fixed after creation. To credit a different partner, create a new link. |
| Turning the link off, deleting the campaign | Only the customer's team, and only for links with no ad channel. A link credited to a partner can't be turned off or deleted. |

![Advanced Options open, with the domain greyed out and the link options below it](https://mintcdn.com/linkrunner-01ef8e08/ZaW2YH5UyXoGw5B4/images/agency-partners/edit-campaign-advanced.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=ZaW2YH5UyXoGw5B4\&q=85\&s=b3ecba3cf83690275dc5c7e9c0203139)

## Troubleshooting

> **"You can't make this change"**
>
> The customer has not let your agency edit this campaign.
>
> Either **Campaigns → Edit** is off for your agency, or the campaign is outside the networks or campaigns the customer shares with you. Ask the customer to check your agency's access in **Settings → Members**. See [Control agency access](https://docs.linkrunner.io/agency-partners/control-agency-access.md).

> **The campaign is not in your list**
>
> It is outside what the customer shares with you.
>
> By default you only see campaigns your agency created. Ask the customer to turn off **Only campaigns they built** if you need to edit their other campaigns.

> **"Deep Link Error"**
>
> Linkrunner could not read the destination.
>
> Enter only the path, for example `/offers/credit-card`, with no spaces. The domain in front of it is fixed.

> **You need to switch off or delete the campaign**
>
> Only the customer's team can do this.
>
> You may see **Delete** or **Link status** in the form, but they don't work for an agency. Ask the customer to do it from their own dashboard. See [Deactivate a campaign link](https://docs.linkrunner.io/features/deactivate-campaign-link.md).
>
> A link with an ad channel, such as one built for an affiliate, can't be turned off or deleted by anyone. Stop sending traffic to it instead.
