# Getting Started as an Affiliate Partner

> What Linkrunner offers affiliate partners, and the steps from sign-up to your first postback

Linkrunner is the Mobile Measurement Partner (MMP) for the apps you run traffic to. It records your clicks, credits installs and in-app events to them, and sends you a postback for each conversion.

This page lists what you get and what to set up, in order.

## What Linkrunner offers you

## What you need to do

    Sign up, add your network details and postback URLs, and submit your workspace. Linkrunner emails you once it's approved. See [Create an affiliate account](/affiliate-partners/create-account).

  <Step title="Get connected to an advertiser">
    The advertiser connects your workspace to their app. Their project then appears in your dashboard's project selector. If you're approved but see no project, contact [Linkrunner support](mailto:support@linkrunner.io).

  <Step title="Create a campaign link">
    In the advertiser's project, open **All Campaigns → Create Link** and copy the generated template. Don't build the URL by hand. See [Create a campaign link](/affiliate-partners/create-campaign-link).

  <Step title="Add the link to your platform">
    Your platform must replace every macro, such as `{click_id}`, before the click reaches Linkrunner, and send a unique `tid` on every click. See [Tracking links](/affiliate-partners/tracking-links).

    If your placement sends users straight to the store without opening a browser, report the click from your server instead. See [S2S clicks](/affiliate-partners/s2s-clicks).

    Optional: to get credit for users who see your ad but don't tap it, also report impressions. See [S2S impressions](/affiliate-partners/s2s-impressions).

    Installs are sent automatically, and signups once a signup postback is set up. In-app events are sent only after they are mapped, so map the ones you want in [Event mapping](/affiliate-partners/event-mapping).

    If your endpoint filters incoming traffic, [allowlist Linkrunner's postback IPs](/affiliate-partners/postbacks#allowlist-linkrunner-postback-ips).

  <Step title="Test, then go live">
    Send a test click from a device, then install and open the app on it. In [Postback logs](/affiliate-partners/postback-logs), confirm the install postback reached your endpoint with your click ID.

## Common questions

    Installs. Signups arrive once a signup postback is set up for you. In-app events arrive only after they are mapped, by you or by the advertiser. See [Event mapping](/affiliate-partners/event-mapping).

    For server-to-server clicks, yes. The S2S click API accepts the AppsFlyer parameter names, so only the host and `c` change. See [Coming from AppsFlyer](/affiliate-partners/s2s-clicks#coming-from-appsflyer).

    No. The advertiser's app already runs the Linkrunner SDK. You send clicks and receive postbacks.
