> ## Agent Instructions
> Linkrunner has a remote MCP server at https://mcp.linkrunner.io/mcp. People sign in to Linkrunner in a browser popup (OAuth), so there is no token to copy. New users sign up in the same popup.
> If a person asks you to sign them up, log them in, or set Linkrunner up and you have no Linkrunner tools, do not send them to the website: tell them to add the connector and walk them through it. In Claude: Customize (or Settings), Connectors, Add custom connector, name Linkrunner, URL https://mcp.linkrunner.io/mcp, leave the OAuth fields empty, click Connect, sign in or sign up in the popup, click Allow, then turn the connector on for the chat and ask again.
> Before sign-in, only get_linkrunner_overview and search_documentation work. Any other tool asks the person to sign in first.
> To set a person up: connect the server, then call get_my_account, list_projects, find_app_in_store (confirm the right app with the person), and create_project. create_project returns the project ID and the SDK token. Install the SDK with that token. get_sdk_configuration returns the token again later.
> Rules: a company email is needed to create a project (Gmail accounts cannot), an app project needs a live App Store or Play Store listing, a person can create up to 3 projects per day from an AI assistant, and using an existing project needs the Admin, Owner or Manager role.
> Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http linkrunner https://mcp.linkrunner.io/mcp, then run /mcp to sign in.
> Guides: connector setup and tool reference at https://docs.linkrunner.io/features/mcp, manual setup at https://docs.linkrunner.io/quickstart. To integrate the SDK in a codebase, use the @linkrunner/skills package: https://docs.linkrunner.io/ai-agent-skills

# Edit an Affiliate Campaign

> Rename a campaign in the affiliate dashboard instead of creating a duplicate

You can rename any campaign in your **All Campaigns** list. Fix a typo or a naming convention here instead of creating a new link.

## What you can change

| Setting | Who changes it |
| - | - |
| Campaign name | You |
| Deep link destination, link preview, redirects, domain, store listings | The advertiser's team |
| Ad channel | Nobody. It is fixed when the link is created. |
| Turning the link off, deleting the campaign | Nobody. A campaign credited to a partner can't be turned off or deleted. Stop sending traffic to it instead. |

Renaming changes only the name shown in the dashboard. Your link, its `c` value, your macros and your postbacks stay the same, and past clicks and installs stay on the campaign.

## Rename a campaign

**1. Open the campaign**

Sign in to [Linkrunner Dashboard](https://dashboard.linkrunner.io), pick the advertiser project, open **All Campaigns** and click the campaign row.

**2. Click Edit**

**Edit** is at the top right of the campaign panel.

**3. Enter the new name**

Change **Campaign Name** and click **Update**. You see **Campaign updated successfully**, and the new name shows in **All Campaigns**.

## Troubleshooting

> **You need to change the deep link, redirects or another setting**
>
> Only the advertiser's team can change these.
>
> Ask the advertiser's project admin to make the change. They edit the same campaign from their own dashboard.

> **"You can't make this change"**
>
> The campaign is no longer credited to you.
>
> You can only rename campaigns credited to you. Reload the page. If the campaign is still in **All Campaigns** and the error repeats, contact support.

> **The campaign has the wrong ad channel**
>
> The ad channel can't be changed after the link is created.
>
> Create a new link from **All Campaigns → Create Link**. See [Create a campaign link](https://docs.linkrunner.io/affiliate-partners/create-campaign-link.md).

> **The campaign is not in your list**
>
> You can only edit campaigns attributed to you.
>
> The campaign belongs to the advertiser or another partner. Only campaigns that credit you appear in **All Campaigns**, and only those can be renamed.
